Upcoming ULALABS events in Enschede

May brings two significant events hosted by the University of Twente in Enschede, The Netherlands. Our partners and regional stakeholders will gather for the public Multiplier Event on 14 May and the Transnational Partners Meeting on 15-16 May 2025. 

The event titled ¨Tackling Urban Challenges. How do Urban Experimentation Spaces develop learning communities?¨, open to public, will take place in hybrid format (online and in person, in U-connect, Enschede, The Netherlands) on the14th of May, 14.30-17.00.

The event will present the results and insights from the first year and a half of the ULALABS: University Lab of Labs for Transformative Societal Innovation project. In particular, iIt will provide a platform for focused discussions where partners and stakeholders can exchange experiences about how Living Labs and other urban experimentation spaces articulate learning communities within their regional ecosystems to tackle urban challenges.

This event also offers a valuable networking and exchange opportunity for stakeholders and practitioners from the four partner regions to learn from each other and get updates on the project’s results and upcoming steps.

Thematic Round-Table Discussion

A key feature of the event will be a thematic round-table discussion with stakeholders from the four partner regions, including:

• UAB Open Labs and Ajuntament Cerdanyola Del Vallès (Spain)

• Nordic Edge and Stavanger kommune (Norway)

• Ebbepark (Sweden)

• ChallengeLAB Twente and Gemeente Enschede (Netherlands)

Transnational meeting

On May 15th and 16th, during the Transnational meeting, partners and regional stakeholders will discuss and work on the various Work Packages of our project. The agenda includes planning the next steps for building the ULALABS Learning community, with a special focus on the preparation of the launch of the pilot phase, with cross-case learning and distributed Lab of Lab components to tackle shared urban challenges.
