Synergies
ECIU UNIVERSITY
ECIU University is an alliance of 14 universities united by a joint goal to make an impact. Learners, teachers, and researchers work with cities, communities, and businesses to solve real-life challenges – and foster change. All four HEI partners are proud members of ECIU and will work closely with the community to build new tools, methodologies and experiences that will help ECIU grow and consolidate further.
European Living Labs Hub
The Hub aims to promote Living Labs as key drivers of innovation in Higher Education by fostering Engaged Research, including Citizen Science and innovation with society, industry, and start-ups. It also seeks to build the capacity of Higher Education to develop user-centred open innovation ecosystems and promote field-building activities through Communities of Practice and a governance structure that connects as many Higher Education Living Labs initiatives as possible across the different European University Alliances.
New European Bauhaus
The New European Bauhaus (NEB) is an EU policy and funding initiative launched by the European Commission in 2021 that fosters sustainable solutions for transforming the built environment and lifestyles under the green transition. It is looking for solutions that are not only sustainable, but also inclusive and beautiful, while respecting the diversity of places, traditions, and cultures in Europe and beyond.
Transformer
Is a Horizon Europe project that works on the transition from fossil-fuel-based to zero-carbon local economies. The Transition Super-Lab approach that it adopts considers entire regions as living labs in which new ways of transformation towards a climate-neutral future can be developed, tested and implemented.
